The Florida Gators have added another playmaker to the class. Four-star WR and Under Armour All-American Jacob has re-committed and signed with the Florida Gators. This is a huge signing since Jacob Copeland has been on Florida’s radar since his sophomore year. Copeland was the first recruit to ever receive an offer from Jim McElwain, for this Florida Gators. Jacob Copeland is the 18th recruit to join Florida’s 2018 recruiting class. He is the eleventh offensive recruit to join the class with Justin Watkins, Iverson Clement, Dante Lang, Richard Gouraige, Noah Banks, Emory Jones, Dameon Pierce, Griffin McDowell, Chris Bleich and Kyle Pitts. He is also the second wide receiver to join the class with Justin Watkins.

Jacob Copeland is a four-star wide receiver out of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida. The Under Armour All-American wide receiver has been one of the top recruits in the country for a long time. Copeland has received 32 offers during his recruitment from schools Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and Georgia. Copeland’s three finalist were Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Jacob Copeland is the 69th ranked recruit and the 12th ranked receiver in the country. On ESPN, Copeland is the 40th raked player in the country and the fifth receiver in the nation. Florida’s wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales were the two main recruiters in Copeland’s recruitment.
Jacob Copeland is a very impressive receiver. He is 6’1” and weighs 192 pounds. He runs a 4.44 40-yard dash. Copeland is a well-put together wide receiver who has good speed and strength. He is a tough wide receiver that plays with confidence and toughness. One of the reasons Copeland is one of the top receivers in the country and one of his largest attributes is his toughness. This is a huge pick up for the Florida Gators and one that QB signee Emory Jones wanted badly. Dan Mullen and Billy Gonzales have done a great job of getting Copeland back in the class.
