The Florida Gators will have many of the top high school recruits in the country on campus this weekend. The Florida Gators will host the Florida State Seminoles in a final game of the season. Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators are looking to close the season strong by defeating their instate rivals. There will be tons of commits and uncommitted recruits that’ll be on campus for this game as unofficial visitors. Florida will also host six top recruits as official visitors this weekend. Florida will host two commits and four other targets for this weekend. Here are the six official visitors that’ll be at the University of Florida for the Florida State game this weekend.
Issiah Walker is a four-star offensive tackle out of Miami Norland High School in Miami, Florida. Walker is one of the highest ranked commits on the Florida Gators 2020 recruiting class. The four-star offensive tackle was previously committed to South Carolina before committing to Florida. Walker’s commitment is very solid as this will be the only official visit he will take. Issiah Walker was also selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game. He’s expected to sign and enroll early at the University of Florida. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Smith is the 134th ranked recruit and the 15th ranked offensive tackle in the country. During his recruitment, Walker has received 17 offers from schools like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, Ohio State and Penn State.
Xzavier Henderson is a four-star wide receiver out of Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. He has been one of Florida’s top targets since they offered him. Xzavier Henderson’s brother, C.J. Henderson, is the star cornerback for the Florida Gators. Florida has put themselves in a good position to try to land the Adidas All-American receiver. The Florida Gators are in a dog fight with the Clemson Tigers to land Henderson. His recruitment will go down to the wire as he’s expected to announce his commitment at the All-American Game. On the 247 Sports Composite, Henderson is the 65th ranked recruit and the 12th ranked wide receiver in the country. During his recruitment, Henderson has received 25 offers from schools like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami and Oregon.
Phillip Webb is a four-star outside linebacker out of Lanier High School in Buford, Georgia. Webb is an uncommitted recruit and has been on Florida’s radar for some time. The Gators already have four-star linebacker Derek Wingo committed in the class but would like to add one more. LSU seems to be the heavy favorite for Webb but things could change depending on how the visit goes. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Walker is the 35th ranked recruit and the fifth ranked outside linebacker in the country. During his recruitment, Webb has received 44 offers from schools like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
Rashad Torrence II
Rashad Torrence II is a three-star safety out of Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia. Torrence is another Gators commit that will be using his official visit to Florida this weekend. The safety position is a major need for the Florida Gators in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Torrence has been committed to the Florida Gators for almost a year. The Peach State native has remained solid to Florida and is expected to sign and enroll early. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Torrence is the 370th ranked recruit and the 34th ranked safety in the country. During his recruitment, Torrence has received 26 offers from schools like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon and USC.
Kentron Poitier is a three-star wide receiver out of Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida. Poitier will be using his third official visit at the University of Florida. He previously visited Florida State and Syracuse. Poitier is a big bodied receiver standing at 6’3” and 200 pounds. The Gators are looking to add more wide outs to the class as they’ll at least lose four receivers to the draft this offseason. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Poitier is the 478th ranked recruit and the 84th ranked wide receiver in the country. During his recruitment, Poitier has received 24 offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and Oregon.
Malik Heath is a four-star wide receiver out of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi. Heath is the only JUCO recruit that will be taking an official visit to Florida this weekend. Out of high school, Heath was one of the top wide outs in the country and was heavy recruited by Dan Mullen. Heath is currently committed to Mississippi State and Mullen is once again trying to flip him. Heath would make an immediate impact at Florida since they’ll lose a lot of production from their senior receivers. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Heath is the twelfth ranked recruit and the second ranked wide receiver in the country. During his recruitment, Heath has received twelve offers from schools like Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
